Should I Stay or Should I Go Now? (5 years post 13)

Liz and I felt that if we were going to Ireland, two groups of people needed to be in agreement. I wrote yesterday about what that process looked like with our daughters. Today I wanted to share about a second group that was involved in this process with us.

re-entry

This past Wednesday we arrived at the Dublin airport at around 9:30 am (4:30 am for our friends in NY). And once the paramedics had helped a sick woman off the plane we cleared customs, hailed a taxi, and headed home.

Our Trip to Date

A recap of our trip to the states: Day 1: Last Wednesday we took a taxi to the Dublin airport. We spent time rolling our clothes, knowing that whatever we brought over had to fit in a car with us as we drove from Long Island, to Philly, to MD, to western NY and back to Long Island. We were all so proud of our packing job. For six people we had five carry-ons & three checked bags. And then the first thing the taxi driver says..."wow, you sure have a lot of luggage."

A Couple of Mid-Week Items

So as you may have heard, this Sunday is kind of a big one in my life...I'll be teaching for the last time as lead pastor of a church we planted 13 years ago. (Notice I said last time as lead pastor, because I'm hoping they'll invite be back down the road!) So as you might imagine, this is not the easiest message to prepare....more for the emotion than anything.
