Out for a walk on Bull Island

I’ve written 3 blogs posts today.

I don’t like any of them.

One is a bit too emotive.

One is a bit too technical (read boring).

The other…I don’t really even know what I’m trying to say.

I even thought, “hey, do one of your random type posts.” I couldn’t think of anything. Other than that Liz & I are older than most people think we are. But that’s just kind of depressing.

So how about this…anything you’ve been wondering about…any random question you’d like to ask…post it in the comment section & I’ll answer them over the next couple days.

About author / bob

I am a church planter living on Dublin's Northside. I also serve as Director of Marketing for Communitas International. I write about various topics that happen to be going through my brain.

Random questions…well…let’s see…. Hmmm…here’s a few off the top of my head:

    1) Does the Vineyard worship services include bagpipes? (please say yes!!) =P

    2) What’s the spiritual vibe of the place? Is there a sense of freedom? Peace? Hurriedness? A weightless? Hopelessness? Etc….

    3) At first glance, what do you see Jesus doing in Clontarf? Raheny?

    4) Do you enjoy/like Celtic music? Traditional or rock-infused? (I might be a tad crazy, but one of my top favorite radio station is, an online Celtic station broadcast online from Dublin)

    1. Bob Wilson says:

      1) bagpipes…thankfully no…I think that would be right up there with tambourine:-)
      2) the biggest thing I’ve noticed so far is a real sense of anger/betrayal at the church…and for the most part, why would we want anything to do with the church?
      3) I don’t really know yet.
      4) I do…but I tend not to listen to music as much as I used to…will definitely check out

      1. Joshua Hopping says:

sigh…I was hoping for bagpipe worship… double sigh… I guess I will just stay home in Idaho then. =P

        1. Bob Wilson says:

They have bagpipe worship in Idaho?

        2. Joshua Hopping says:

LOL! I wish they did!! =D

  2. Mary Ellen says:

I hope (and pray) your job search is successful soon. For the interviews that are ‘practice’ I hope you get to share some faith along with your time with these strangers…or angels unaware.
Are the beaches really as inviting as they look?

    1. Bob Wilson says:

      They are…the water is not!
